Our Kenya Safari Routes
Proven itineraries designed to work in the real world — whether self-driven, fully guided, or a combination of both.
A three-week circuit across Kenya’s most iconic and off-track landscapes. This route links the wild North with Samburu and Buffalo Springs, the unique forested of the Aberdares, the Great Rift Valley lakes, the game rich Amboseli and Tsavo ecosystems under the shadow of Mount Kilimanjaro balancing big-game viewing with wild, lesser-known regions. Designed as a comprehensive self-drive or hybrid safari for travellers wanting to really explore Kenya.
A two-week journey from Kenya’s wildlife heartlands to the Indian Ocean coast. Combine time in classic big-game areas with quieter reserves and finish on a relaxed, unhurried beach stay. Ideal for travellers wanting a balanced itinerary with meaningful safari time and space to slow down at the coast.
A 10-day self-drive safari through central Kenya, combining conservation, remote northern landscapes, and highland forests into one seamless journey. This route focuses on conservation and diversity.
Covering Ol Pejeta, Samburu and the Aberdares mountains.
For those looking to go further, we also design multi-country journeys across East and Southern Africa.
Experience Built in the Field
Africa Off Track designs tailor-made safari journeys across Kenya and Africa, with suggested self-drive routes that can be booked as they are or tailored to your needs — from remote campsites to carefully chosen authentic lodges.
Whether you’re looking for a self-drive adventure, a fully guided experience, or a mix of both - we’ll design a safari that works for you.
Designed in the field. Tailored to you.
Safaris Designed by Guides
Africa Off Track was founded by professional safari guide Dan Peel after more than 18 years working as a professional guide- across East and Southern Africa.
Rather than designing trips from behind a desk, our itineraries are built from real experience in the field — understanding wildlife movement, realistic driving distances, seasonal conditions, and the places that make a safari truly memorable.
Dan also personally leads a small number of specialist wildlife safaris each year through Dan Peel Safaris, focusing on photography, big cats and remote wilderness areas.
The same field experience that shapes those expeditions is what informs every Africa Off Track itinerary.

Loango Forest & Coastal Wilderness Expedition
Track one of Africa’s most elusive predators in the wild landscapes of Laikipia. This specialist photographic safari focuses on the region’s famous melanistic leopard as well as the rich diversity of wildlife that inhabits the area’s rocky ridges and dry river valleys.
A classic big-cat safari exploring two of Africa’s greatest predator ecosystems — South Luangwa National Park and the Lower Zambezi Valley. These guided safaris focus on leopard behaviour, lions, wild dogs and the extraordinary wildlife concentrations of Zambia’s Luangwa Valley.
Explore one of Africa’s most extraordinary and least-known ecosystems in Loango National Park, Gabon. This expedition searches for western lowland gorillas, forest elephants and forest buffalo where rainforest meets the Atlantic coast.
